Online Learning Environments: Design in the Age of Big Data
The process of learning has evolved significantly since the advent of new technologies and the internet. Ness SES’s Director of Digital Services, James Williams, and Lead User Experience Consultant, Sawad Brooks, have co-authored an article for User Experience Magazine titled “Online Learning Environments: Design in the Age of Big Data” that explores this evolution in detail. The article also elaborates on how data can be used to augment the learning process stating, “During a digital learning experience, a student will leave traces of his or her progress and success—aka data. The analysis of this data can be further leveraged to automatically tailor a student’s experience on the fly.”
